Yesterday, Tuesday, December 13, we received the visit of the Calama Technology Tour formed by professionals, technicians and farmers from Iquique and Calama (Chile). The participants of the tour correspond mostly to two agricultural organizations of the city of Calama, which participate in the project funded by the Regional Government of Antofagasta consisting of horticultural production under greenhouses irrigated with treated urban wastewater and water from the Loa River.
The members of the Technology Tour belong to the following entities:
- Arturo Prat University.
- Agricultural Development Institute
- Center for Research and Development in Water Resources
The purpose of the visit was to see the operation and research in greenhouse horticultural production.
Jorge Olave Vera, Director of the Center for Research and Development in Water Resources (CIDERH), was responsible for the visit.
