Last Friday, September 30, the students of the Higher Degree in Landscaping and Rural Environment visited the Experimental Farm of the University of Almeria - Anecoop, where they learned firsthand the lines of research being developed in the Almeria countryside. The key to success, explained Luis Belmonte, director of the experimental farm, is the union between the public, University of Almeria, and the private, Anecoop.
The visit was guided by Paco Palmero, coordinator of the farm, focusing mainly on the greenhouses dedicated to papaya research and production. The purpose was to gather the information obtained in the research of this crop headed by Professor Francisco Camacho.
This information will be very useful for the students of the Second Year of Landscaping and Rural Environment who will develop a project on the cultivation of papaya in the greenhouses that EFA Campomar has in its facilities and that at the end of it, along with the rest of the projects, will be exposed to the entire agricultural sector.
This is the beginning of a series of collaborations that the UAL and EFA Campomar will carry out. We would like to thank Luis Belmonte, Paco Palmero and Francisco Camacho for their visit and for collaborating with the projects of the students of EFA Campomar.
