Every year almost 3 million workers die in the world as a result of occupational accidents, and 374 million workers suffer non-fatal occupational accidents, but whose consequences are very severe. In this sense, it is essential to know how the different variables of the organizational context are related to the occurrence of these accidents. Based on the Integrated Prevention Model, it is important to describe the effect of psychosocial variables on the incidence of occupational hazards. An example of this is the effect of supportive behaviors by leaders and resilience on the development of a shared image of the work context (supportive climate), and this in turn on employees' perceptions of burnout and well-being (engagement). This will allow us to strengthen our knowledge on the key aspects on which to focus prevention intervention, both from a contextual perspective and from an individual point of view.
"A healthy workforce is the fundamental foundation of a strong and resilient economy and society."
