The rector of the UAL, Carmelo Rodríguez Torreblanca, stressed this week that "the UAL-Anecoop Experimental Farm has become a benchmark within the sector, a must visit place for anyone who wants to have a true picture of the Almeria countryside and the intensive production system of Almeria, receiving 34 visits during the last campaign, of which 11 were international".
At present, more than 7 research groups of the UAL, with very consolidated lines of research ranging from plant production, horticultural genetics, rural engineering and pesticide residue analysis, develop their trials and research at the Experimental Farm.
In the heart of these research groups, a multitude of undergraduate and master's degree theses and doctoral dissertations are developed with important scientific impact on an international scale.
The rector of the UAL, Carmelo Rodríguez Torreblanca, has pledged to continue collaborating with the second-degree cooperative Anecoop: "One of my main purposes since I became rector is to intensify collaboration with institutions in the academic, cultural, social and productive fields, so that they favor the promotion of synergies, the exchange of experiences and the generation of joint activities in an efficient way".
