It is awarded the I "Eduardo Jesús Fernández Rodríguez" Award for the best Doctoral Thesis to Dr. Miguel Ángel Gómez Tenorio.for his thesis entitled "Evaluation of the nematicidal and fungicidal efficacy of a synthetic molecule, Dimethyl disulfide (DMDS) in laboratory and greenhouse conditions for tomato cultivation" for his original proposal to the problem of nematode and soil-borne disease control caused by the withdrawal of a large part of chemical fumigants in the EU.

It is awarded the I Prize for the best TFG to Ms. Ana Rodríguez López for his work "Genetic analysis of a new source of resistance to ToLCNDV in Cucurbita moschata" for his contributions to reduce the effect of the New Delhi virus in zucchini through mechanical inoculation of ToLCNDV, which has made it possible to generate genetic resistance.
