Visits to the farm

Last Wednesday, July 27, we received the visit of the people in charge of the Florida International University guided by the researcher María Teresa Peña Fleitas. The purpose of the visit was to see the operation of the Experimental Farm and the tests carried out in the greenhouses of the research group AGR-224. Horticultural Cropping Systems [...]

On Wednesday, July 19, we were visited by members of the Unión de Pequeños Agricultores y Ganaderos who are participating in an ambitious training program on digitization in the agricultural sector. This program is aimed especially at professionals in this sector to acquire knowledge and skills on new technologies that can be used in the agricultural sector.

On Friday, July 8, we were visited by students from the Monterrey Institute of Technology who are participating in the eighth edition of the summer courses Study Abroad, launched by the University of Almeria within the internationalization program. These students are participating in the course "Sustainable protected horticulture: soilless cultivation systems [...]".

Last Wednesday, June 22, we had the visit of several members of the Municipality of Piura, of the IURC (International Urban Cooperation) program and of the Municipality of Almeria. The purpose of the visit was to see the facilities of the Experimental Farm and its operation, with special interest in the cultivation of papaya and bell pepper.

Last Friday, April 29, we were visited by students of the Biotechnology Degree of the University of Almeria, within the subject of Agricultural Systems, who showed their interest in seeing the facilities of the Experimental Farm. The person in charge of the visit was UAL professor Francisco Manuel Padilla Ruiz.

On Thursday, March 24, we were visited by the coordinators of Semilleros El Plantel and Viagro showing their interest in papaya, tomato and bell pepper crops.

Yesterday, Wednesday March 23rd, we were visited by students from the University of Granada of the Master in Advances in Food Quality and Technology, showing their interest in tomato, bell pepper and papaya crops. We leave you a picture taken in our facilities.
