Visits to the farm

Last Friday, May 10, we were visited by students from the irrigation department of the Universidad Autónoma de Chapingo (Mexico). The purpose of the visit was to learn about the projects and schemes of work and study in crop irrigation.

Last Friday, April 26th, we were visited by the students of the senior program of the University of Almeria. The purpose of the visit was to see the operation and the tests carried out in the greenhouses of the Experimental Farm. Carlos Manuel Asensio Grima, professor of the University of Almeria, was in charge of the visit.

Last Wednesday, April 10, we were visited by students of the Degree in Geography and Environment of the University of Valencia (https://www.uv.es/uvweb/universidad/es/estudios-grado/oferta-grados/oferta-grados/grado-geografia-medio-ambiente-1285846094474/Titulacio.html?id=1285847456633). The purpose of the visit was to study the agricultural model of Almeria and to see the operation and the tests carried out in the greenhouses of the Experimental Farm. The person in charge of the visit was Adrián Ferrandis Martínez, professor at the University of Valencia.

Last Tuesday, April 9th, we were visited by the students of the Master in Advances in Food Quality and Technology of the University of Granada. Last Friday, April 5th, we were visited by students of the Biotechnology Degree of the University of Almeria, within the subject of Agricultural Systems, who showed their interest in seeing the facilities of the Experimental Farm. The person in charge of the visit was the UAL professor Francisco Manuel Padilla Ruiz.

Last Thursday, April 4th, we were visited by students from the Secondary School of Calatalifa (Madrid). The purpose of the visit was to see the operation and the tests carried out in the greenhouses of the Experimental Farm.  

Last Wednesday, March 20, we received the visit of the seed company Origene Seeds Ibérica. The purpose of the visit was to see the operation and trials carried out in the greenhouses of the Experimental Farm.

Last Wednesday, March 13, we were visited by members of the European PRIMA (Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area) iGUESSmed project team, who showed their interest in seeing the trials of the Experimental Farm and the trials of the PRIMA Safe-H2O-Farm project.
